Your visit will consist of an eight or sixteen mile round trip from Llanfair Caereinion railway station on a train hauled by a vintage steam locomotive (or on rare occasions by a historic diesel), at least 118 years of age, in railway carriages from around Europe. You will arrive at our Llanfair Caereinion station, be shown to the train, enjoy your 60 or 120 minute round trip and conclude with time to visit our shop and / or our refreshment facilities.

Yes, you will see the historic steam engine pulling your train at several times during your visit.

Most of our services can be boarded at our Welshpool (SY21 7LT) or Llanfair Caereinion (SY21 0SF) stations. Please note that our catering trains eg, afternoon tea or fish & chip trains depart from Llanfair Caereinion only.
