'A Hamper Full of Holiday Cheer!'
Celebrate the festive season with a magical journey through beautiful Mid-Wales complete with a Christmas Picnic Hamper. Departing Llanfair Caereinion (SY21 0SF) for a 8 mile journey to our middle station at Castle Caereinion and back lasting 1 hour, returning in twilight in our decorated carriages.
£55 per person. Festive Picnic Hamper Journey includes:
- 1-hour Steam Train Journey in our decorated carriages
- Choice of festive home-made Sandwiches
- Slice of Christmas Cake
- Mince Pie
- Box of Savouries (sausage roll, pork pie, cheese & crackers, pot of pickles)
- Tea, Coffee or Festive non-alcoholic punch
Add a bottle of Prosecco or Festive Local Real Ale for an extra £6 per person.
If you have any specific dietary requirements, please select the relevant option in the drop-down box when making your booking. We are not able to accommodate dietary requirements on the day if not previously discussed.

ACCESSIBILITY: This vintage carriage is not wheelchair accessible and has a step up which may be difficult for those with additional access needs. Please contact us for more information.
Due to carriage seating layout, bookings for this experience must be a minimum of two people.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accomodate dogs on our catering services.
Wrap up warm – Our vintage carriages are steam heated, however our stations and many activities are outdoors, therefore we advise our passengers to wrap up warm during the winter months.
